Following the recent BIR audit suspension under RMC 107-2025, the Bureau of Internal Revenue has released a new Public Advisory, introducing a direct email channel for businesses to report concerns related to Letters of Authority (LOAs) and Mission Orders (MOs).

You can find a full breakdown of the audit suspension, what's covered, and what PH businesses should prepare for in our previous article: BIR audit suspension under RMC 107-2025.

What’s New: Direct Line to the Commissioner

To support its ongoing audit reforms and ensure transparency, the BIR now encourages taxpayers to send complaints, irregularities, or questions related to audits and LOAs directly to:

📧 [email protected]

This includes issues such as:

  • Duplicate, expired, or unserved LOAs

  • Irregular audit practices

  • Unclear requests from field officers

  • Any concerns related to field audit activities

The Office of the Commissioner will review submissions as part of the nationwide effort to strengthen internal controls and ensure proper implementation of the audit suspension.

Why This Matters for PH Businesses

The new email channel reinforces the government’s direction toward:

  • Clearer audit processes

  • Better taxpayer protection

  • Stronger accountability within the BIR

  • More predictable compliance during the audit freeze

This update is part of the broader reform initiative we explained in our previous article on RMC 107-2025. If your business is currently dealing with an LOA or audit notice, now is a good time to review its status and raise any concerns directly through the official channel.
